Filthy/Gorgeous
Both words would aptly describe the drag performance we saw last Thursday. I really need to get this down before I forget it all...
We went to "Chantal's House of Shame" in Mitte. An act called "Nuclear Family" was performing. They were two: one more femme, wearing a big pink wig that was really messed up (actually her hair reminded me a lot of one of the women trapped in the basement in Pink Flamingos...) and smeared black eye-makeup. The other was wearing a skirt and wig, but no full top, so more obviously male. The skirt included a stuffed electric "guitar" neck. S/he also ignited a plastic inflatable guitar during the first number.
They sang, after a fashion (a punk fashion). The first "song" consisted largely of the lines "tonight we're gonna fuck shit up". While singing, the performer on the right gradually removed all of his/her clothing. Another song included the chorus "Mommy buy me a dildo, I miss Daddy's dick" [!!]
Both performers changed clothes on stage between numbers--that is, they took off all their clothes and put some others on. The most outrageous outfit was worn by the one on the left near the end. Basically, it was the sort of swimsuit one might have expected to see on Miami Beach during the 80s. The front was a basically a big ruffle in the form of a V, with something similar leading to a thong in the back. However, the singer applied this costume rather freely, so that her penis was entirely exposed through the entire song!
The one on the right also poured "blood" over him/herself at one point.
